Rob Pannell and Wheaties

As lacrosse has dramatically grown and evolved over the last decade, important measurements of success have often come when the sport branches out to mainstream media, companies and events.

Those landmark moments include Paul Rabil signing with Red Bull and Octagon, Under Armour and Nike using lacrosse players in national TV campaigns, Inside Lacrosse’s record-setting crowd at MetLifeStadium for the 2012 Konica Minolta Big City Classic, and NCAA, NLL and MLL highlights showing up in SportsCenter’s Top 10 and Rabil’s recent appearing in the “DaDaDa” ad for the popular highlight show.

Lacrosse’s latest crossover athlete is Rob Pannell, who has signed on as the newest member of Team Wheaties. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Pannell joins NFL star Adrian Peterson and a Team Wheaties roster of other athletes that includes speed skaters, snowboarders, extreme athletes, a blade runner and a para-swimmer.
