ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Bayhawks have acquired MLL standout midfielder Stephen Peyser in a trade with the Machine. Ohio will receive the 2015 second-round Collegiate Draft pick and the 2015 first-round Supplemental Draft pick.

Midfielder Bill McGlone (Maryland) was selected first by the Ohio Machine in the 2014 MLL Supplemental Draft. 

U.S. women’s team goalie Devon Wills, who was eligible to be selected as the first women’s player in MLL, was not drafted Wednesday.

Wreckless Lacrosse recently did a photo shoot with their sponsored athletes Rob Pannell, Brian Spallina and Mike Evans in Queens, N.Y. The shoot was done by Judy Walker (mother of Princeton assistant John Walker), and one of the photos from the day is part of Wreckless’s ad in the January issue of Inside Lacrosse Magazine, due out next week. Skepticism fills our minds as we pulled up to “American Recycling” in Jamaica, Queens. It’s raining, the road turns from pavement to a bumpy dirt and gravel path leading to the back of what looks like an abandoned warehouse. Getting out of the car we were somewhat nervous on what we might be walking into, to top it all off our GPS has gone haywire and we are officially lost, or so we think. We look at each other questionably, without words, our expressions speak for themselves … this cannot be right, this is not exactly the ideal location for a photo shoot.

Casey Powell has been traded to the new Florida Launch team, a move that gives Florida more local talent and continues No. 22’s efforts with the game in the Sunshine State. Powell, the head coach and director of lacrosse at North Broward (Fla.) Preparatory School and former director of lacrosse and player development at Boca Raton’s St. Andrew’s School, was traded from the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

The Bayhawks land all-star Joe Walters, who will reunite with his former coach at Maryland in Dave Cottle.
