Competing for a spot in Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip, promising talent from all over the Northeast (as well as a few other states) took to sunny Florida. Instructed with innovative methodology by 3D’s coaches, players from four different classes then played a combined four games on Saturday and Sunday after Friday’s check-in and training sessions.

At this year’s US Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia, IL‘s Terry Foy spoke with Aimee Dixon about the fundraising status of the Fields of Growth organization’s efforts to fund a national team for Uganda that could compete in the 2014 FIL Championships in Denver. So far the group had raised $50,000 for the cause, Dixon said, but they were still $80,000 short of their goal, with just 19 days to amass the needed funds.
