About

The Chitown Lacrosse Club was founded by John “Mitch” Mitchell and Bill Harris in 2005. Mitch is a Long Island, NY native that played lacrosse for West Point Academy, and Bill is an Annapolis, MD native that played college ball for Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Relocating from the East Coast they found a small but growing Midwest lacrosse market. Chitown was founded as an answer to the growing number of college lacrosse players living in the Chicagoland area and looking to stay involved. With the help of the existing Chicago based teams Chi-town was up and running with a full 12 game schedule in the Spring of 2005.

Since our founding Chitown has competed in a host of year round men’s lacrosse leagues and tournaments. We are currently a standing member of the Midwest Cities Lacrosse Conference, a highly competitive 20 team league based out of the Midwest states. The Chitown Lacrosse Club competes in the MCLC during the spring season, as well as a Winnetka, IL based league during the summer and a host of different tournaments throughout the year. Our goal is to grow within our competitive efforts while continuing to foster the growth of the sport that we have come to love, “the fastest game on two feet.
